What is the Global Strategy?

The Global Strategy for the Occupational Therapy Workforce was developed by WFOT as for call for action for strengthening the occupational therapy workforce.

The Global Strategy is relevant to anyone interested in improving access to occupational therapy and has a three-level structure with seven major strategic directions, each with two to four specific actions.

What is the Workforce Resource Hub?

The Global Occupational Therapy Workforce Hub has been created as an interactive site that allows sharing of resources which are useful for occupational therapy workforce planning, development and evaluation.

Workforce challenges impact the occupational therapy profession from many angles, and numerous initiatives around the world contribute to the goals of the Workforce Strategy. Occupational therapists, organisations, educators, regulators, researchers, and workforce planners are encouraged to explore the Workforce Hub to find and share resources that support workforce development and planning.

The Hub is now fully searchable, making it easy to access a growing collection of valuable tools and examples from across the globe. We also invite the broader occupational therapy community to continue contributing resources to help strengthen the profession worldwide.
